Many parents and community members feel stressed, exhausted, and unsure how to communicate with the young people in their lives. No one should feel powerless when trying to support a teenager, but so many do.That’s why I provide practical strategies, training, and consultancy to help adults communicate clearly, connect confidently, and support young people more effectively.
About

I grew up in Regional Victoria, and from an early age I saw how important community and connection are in shaping young people’s lives. That experience has guided my career and continues to drive my work today.I’m a qualified Youth Worker with more than a decade of experience in community development, youth services, and mentoring. Over the years, I’ve worked across both the not-for-profit sector and local government, leading programs that support young people to thrive and helping organisations design strategies that deliver real impact.Across my career, I’ve met countless parents who arrive stressed, exhausted, and unsure how to communicate with their teenage children. They’re worried about the connection slipping away and frustrated that nothing seems to work. I’ve also spoken with community members who care deeply about the young people around them but feel completely unequipped to support them. They want to help, they just don’t have the confidence or tools to engage in a way that feels safe, effective, and meaningful.Seeing these challenges up close is what pushed me to specialise in practical communication strategies, training, and program design that genuinely strengthen relationships between adults and young people. For the past 10 years, my focus has been on community development, bringing people together, building programs with young people at the centre, and ensuring councils, schools, and organisations have the tools they need to succeed. I specialise in program design, evaluation, facilitation, and co-design processes that give young people a real voice. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outdoors — hiking, rock climbing, or exploring new trails. I’m also passionate about live music and footy, and love being part of the energy and community those experiences create. At the heart of everything I do is a simple goal: to help organisations build programs and opportunities where young people feel valued, supported, and confident to grow.
